LAKELAND VILLAGE, CA — A 76-year-old woman was arrested this week on suspicion of operating an illegal marijuana grow on her Lakeland Village property, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Angela Bright was taken into custody Wednesday after a search warrant was served by Lake Elsinore sheriff’s deputies at her property in the 30000 block of Skylark Drive, the department reported.
Approximately 1,200 marijuana plants, 30 pounds of processed cannabis, and an imitation firearm were found at the site, according to the sheriff’s department.
Bright was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of marijuana cultivation, according to the sheriff’s department.
On Tuesday, Lake Elsinore deputies also busted up a marijuana operation on Della Cava Lane in the city of Lake Elsinore. At that location, approximately 1,350 marijuana plants and a small amount of processed cannabis were found, the sheriff’s department reported.
The electrical system within the residence was illegally altered. Southern California Edison turned the power off and determined that approximately $104,000 in electricity had been stolen, according to the sheriff’s department.
Lake Elsinore Code Enforcement along with Building and Safety determined the residence was uninhabitable.
No arrests were reported in the Della Cava Lane raid.
